I have fallen in love with the Abbot's Kitchen in Glastonbury Abbey...
*
...beauty and simplicity - food straight from the herb garden and fish pond, just outside...
*
...self-sufficiency at its best; no excess wrapping on the food, none of it wasted, no "food miles"...
...beauty is simplicity.

Believe it or not, this doesn't look that much different to our kitchen on Inishfree in 1990.
Beautifulto look at and to learn about the old times.... but I think I would prefer to cook in a more modern kitchen! great pictures.
It is an exceedingly lovely kitchen...
Very nice! Nice to see no electrical gadgets LOL.
Such beautiful photos that you are sharing! Nostalgic.
Beautiful shots Kitty!
I love the tones and light in them.

Nice vintage. Awesome shots.
It was very special, and very interesting. I sense much history behind these pictures.
I totally agree with the simplicity of food and packaging, such a waste...
Looks a very interesting place.
Simply marvelous, and so well suited to the sepia.
Lovely sentimental shots (in the best sense of sentimental) The details are wonderful.
I agree it is a very interesting place to visit. I work in Glastonbury and visit the Abbey as often as I can. The photographs look very good in sepia.
Each one is amazing but I'm really drawn to the second photo.
Really fine job!
These are great monochrome shots.
Lovely in sepia tones. It has a rustic feel.

the 2nd is my fav but they're all very nice!
Nice but I have to wonder if they'd not look even better in B/W ...
Very lovely!
Beautiful photos, and very fitting for both monochrome and sepia!
But the main reason for visiting, is the following:
A couple of times Today's Flowers have experienced that the guest friend has forgotten to make an entry on their guest day. That is why we have decided to ask for an e-mail adress from each one. Can you please send me your e-mail, and I will remind you when it is your turn. My e-mail adress: cissom@hotmail.com. And please tell me which name you have on your blog!
Have a nice week!
