I don't think I've ever felt more in love with my Northern Ireland homeland than I did just before I left it on Friday, when I cycled around the tiny country lanes beyond Strangford. The air was like spring, the sky cloudless and the sea so still. After my cycle I took a walk along the beach; I could see the Isle of Man far away on the horizon, guillemots were diving for fish close to shore. Guns Island, a stone's throw away, seemed to float. On the garden wall of a cottage three children just come home from school were eating lunch, and their little terrier dog came over to me to be stroked.

What can I say - but - Beautiful.
So beautiful Kitty! and I was on the other side looking over to the Isle of Man from the hill here. x
This post reminds me of the Keane song, "Somewhere only we know" though they walk through some woodland. You are really fortunate to have such a beautiful sea in your homeland. The blues are fascinating.
Stunningly gorgeous.
When can I come visit?
;-)
